Android Central Question

Due to be travelling quite a lot this summer and want to get a cheapish tablet for watching films and web browsing whilst away. Would have similar function when using back home. Current suggestion is to buy a 2nd-hand Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 off eBay, wondered if anyone had any other suggestions to consider or if this seems a good choice?

Maybe go a bit higher and look for a Tab S3, it'll continue to have OS support for longer than the S2 (eventually apps stop working as the OS "ages out"). The latest OS the Tab S2 received was Nougat (now 2 versions behind) while the Tab S3 will be getting Pie (currently the most recent) possibly as soon as next week.

I highly recommend the Lenovo Tab 4 8", which retails for $129, but can often be found for cheaper as a refurb (which is how I got mine). I've been very happy with it -- surprisingly good quality screen (although only 720P) and stereo front-firing speakers, decent performance, released on Nougat but actually got updated to Oreo.

Groupon Goods has A-grade refurbs for $95: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ifi-tablet-refurbished-a-grade&token=Qk3tkjaI

Woot.com has them for $90: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...%3Fref%3Dw_cnt_lnd_cat_pc_5_14&token=xlnd8R3q
