Why is my battery draining so quickly?

Good evening (and I wish it was).

Since this morning my phone's been on the fritz. I took it off the charger this morning at 100% battery, NO APPS RUNNING and it dropped to 72% by the time I arrived at work (about 30 minutes travel, give or take)

I barely even touched my phone and had a 2 hour drive not long afterwards. My battery was at 3% at the end of the trip.

I turned off the phone and charged it to 100% and turned it back on at a gas station and timed it. I lost 26% in about 44 minutes.

No amount of restarting or charging changed this behavior. I even took it to the AT&T store and they couldn't find anything out of sorts.

I always remove running apps before putting my phone away. And I am not aware of any changes in behavior. I did remove a handful of apps the day before but I can't see how that would INCREASE battery usage.

Any ideas??? Please help, this is driving me nuts.

Ok perfect, I'm not familiar with lg phones but I can still help as I own multiple phones so can I get a screenshot of battery stats?

So far I don't see anything unusual play store is at 10 percent would force close that just to make sure.
But I would concentrate on your phone reception, is strong ?

2-3 bars, I'd say it's reasonable, no change from the norm.

I used to but I have a separate GPS unit for that. Waze/Maps used to drain my phone so I found better ways to go about it without using my phone.

Nothing that I was aware of. I installed an authorization app last night but deleted it earlier today. I also did some cleaning last night and removed a bunch of unused apps.

Do you want to put in safe mode and monitor it for 30 minutes see if any drain like you had before ?

This how you do it and at the bottom it will say safe mode and just restart the device to exit out of it.

Okay. Did that. Battery life is still decreasing on the charger with no apps open.

That's not a good sign, it sounds like a battery problem
