Why does my available storage space exceed my total capacity?

Hi all,
I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab S10.5. When I use usb storage, it reads wrong storage space as follow:
'Available space 500.71gb',
'Total capacity 7.48gb' but I am using 8GB usb flash.
What causes this problem?
How can I see the real space?
I see the same problem when I read the internal storage too. It reads total capacity around 506GB and available free space around 504GB internal storage. But it looks wrong as I know that my tab has only 16gb internal storage.

Welcome to Android Central! What are you using to read the storage? The Settings>Storage menu? A 3rd party file manager or system info app?

Can you post a screenshot? Your numbers seem in line with 8gigs of ram and a separate for storage.
