I have a G5 and the camera is set to 1920 X 1080. I took a picture and when I looked at it on my computer, it did not look great and I noticed the info from the picture said the resolution was 608 X 1080 and the DPI was 96. What did I do wrong?

It sounds like you adjusted the video resolution (1920x1080 is the standard 1080p HD video resolution), not the photo resolution. So I'd suggest double checking your settings.

Thanks for the clarification and welcome to the site.

Is this by any chance the LG G5? If so, are you trying to open the RAW file instead of the jpeg? I know on my V20, opening the RAW files with the wrong app will do something like that. I can open the RAW files in Snapseed and get the full resolution, but opening with other RAW capable editors (Including Photoshop Express) or even the stock gallery app gives me a very small resolution image. I haven't tried those on the computer, so this is a bit of a wild guess.

Do they show ok in the phone's gallery app?

When you check the details on your computer, what does it show for a file size? Does it match the file size listed when viewing on the phone?

It sounds like you're viewing a thumbnail folder or something on the computer. Have you verified that is correct? It should be in the DCIM/camera folder. Is there a file size discrepancy as well?
