I had given them my phone IMEI since I had lost it a while ago. It was found two days later. I really don't want police to keep tracking after I have already found my phone. What else can the police also do with my IMEI other than tracking the location of the phone?
I only filed the report only for finding my lost phone.
Honestly - they have other things to worry about, like finding other lost phones or murders. If they really wanted to track you they would be getting a warrant and asking your provider to help them.

Shoot - I saw one fly by my place last night. I was out conversing with a neighbor, I couldn't run inside when I saw it or I'd have made them suspicious also...
