A troll calls me names in the comments of videos not uploaded by my channel, and is a jerk. I reported this person for "Harassment or Bullying" in YouTube. But the troll's comment wasn't deleted off for a long time. Does a reported comment take a long time to be deleted? Or is the YouTube Report system always like this?the

If you go to that user's channel, you can block them via the channel menu. That's likely your best course of action if simply ignoring them isn't possible.

Not on my channel. Other videos. Blocking doesn't work there. Plus, that Report system seemed unreliable per se.
I was able to get the block option via another channel's video. In the Android YouTube app, tap the profile pic of the troll in one of the comments, which should take you to the troll's channel. Tap the menu in the upper right of the troll's channel, and one of the options should be to block it.

Are you saying you tried that and it's not working?

He was blocked. The block system is not like DeviantArt, where you can block anyone regardless of anyplace. Other videos made by other channels, the troll can still reply to me, because the video is not made by my channel.

And I'm saying that the "report" system doesn't seem to be reliable as it took forever and nothing happened to the troll's comment.

YouTube does not seem to enforce its safety guidelines with an iron fist.

I see. Then I guess unless something changes, you'll have to simply ignore him. As they say, don't feed the trolls. If he responds to you, just don't even acknowledge it.
