Hello i have a new mobile data type with my phone, switched to a new operator for unlimited data. But there is a little cavia...

They dont have 4g+ so i use other internet providers 4g+ bands wich is around 5mb/s, but when i hapend to not be on 4g+ but 4g i have 130mb/s because i'm on my regular internet acces provider....

Now my question is, is there any way to prevent my phone to get into 4g+ ? I have a samsung galaxy a5 2016

Thanks you for helping and have a nice day.

That's strange. In your Settings>Mobile Networks menu, what options do you get under Preferred Network Type? Also, under Carrier, does it show your main carrier only, or are those other carriers listed as well?

So far, all I've found would require root. You'd have to determine which LTE-A bands the phone is using and disable at least one of them: https://forum.xda-developers.com/one...n-lte-t3693579
