Why after i hard factory reset my phone does it still require a password

I hard reset my aristo3 lg but when I go threw process of signing in it keeps asking me for a password

Welcome to Android Central! Is it asking for a Google account and Google password, or the basic phone lockscreen password? Was this always your phone, or did it belong to somebody else at one time?
