wrong wifi security type recognized.

My roster has WPA/WPA2 security but my phone keeps saying the security type is WEP and won't recognize my password until it detects this properly. How do I fix this?

Welcome to Android Central! Did you set up a unique SSID for your network, or are you using the default SSID name? If so, it's possible you're actually connecting to someone else's wi-fi network which uses the same brand of router and whose owner also didn't change the default SSID name.
