Can't save photo to gallery

Which phone do you have? Which app are you using to take or download the pictures?

Welcome to Android Central! You don't save a photo to the Gallery -- the Gallery creates a database of all photos on the phone's storage and displays them.

Use a file manager app to locate the directory where this image file is, and see if there is a file called .nomedia there. If there is, delete that file, and the image should show up in the Gallery app.
