Razer phone 2 Android 9 freezing

[Android Central Question]

I have a Razer phone 2.
I updated my phone to Android pie 9 update and my phone has froze nemerous times since I've updated my phone.
My phone is new. I purchased the phone in early July.
At least once a day, sometimes 2-3 times a day I have to hold the power button down for 10-15 seconds to hard reset my phone and that can't be good for my phone's hardware.
Is there going to be a fix for this issue in the near future or is this something I'm going to have to deal with ?

Wipe cache .

FYI, I see from this article that the 1st gen Razer Phone supported seamless updates, and therefore didn't have a cache partition to wipe: https://twrp.me/razer/razerphone.html. The same is probably the case for the Razer Phone 2. Unfortunately, the folks at hardreset.info don't always have the most accurate information about some phones.:-\

Does the problem persist in Safe Mode? https://www.hardreset.info/devices/razer/razer-phone-2/safe-mode/ (Those steps ought to work.)
