I have some MP3 files I want to include on my Android device. I don't want them to show up in Google Music or Amazon Music so I will put them in a folder with a .nomedia file.

But I do want to be able to play the MP3 files. Is there a music player that will allow me to play the files while keeping the .nomedia marker file? Or perhaps another solution?

    Thanks,
    drdec

Media apps will always 'respect' the NoMedia portion of a folder. BUT since it's a file on your phone, you can still use a File Manager to browse the contents of the folder and directly play from there (that would also work if you create a Playlist before you include the NoMedia file... you'd probably have to start the playlist from the File Manager, however).
