Android Central Question

I have an Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung flip cover. Until the latest update it would turn on the phone when I open the cover. After the update this morning it no longer turns on. Can anyone help me restore this functionality?

Cheers
Jim

It could be a bug in the update. If could be a bad proximity detector. Make a phone call (don't turn the speakerphone on) and hold your hand over the top part of the screen and the screen should turn off, removing your hand should bring the screen back. If that doesn't happen, it's the proximity sensor. If it does, I'd suspect the update. If it's the update, go into Settings, type feedback into the search box and report the problem.
