I started my smart phone life with Samsung Android systems and became quite dependant on the Swype keyboard. I'm now using and LG G7 thinQ and the swype-like behavior of its supplied keyboard, as well as others that I've tried from the Play Store, are mediocre.

Is it possible to get the genuine Swype keyboard for my LG?

Isn't it on Play store or does it show as being incompatible for your device?

It's not on the Play Store, Dragon discontinued development on the app several years ago - https://www.xda-developers.com/swype...-discontinued/

I LOVED Swype, GBoard (which has swipe typing) is working just fine for me these days.

I thought Swype was bought (and killed) by Microsoft? In either case, yes it's officially dead. If you have it on another phone, you can try something like APK Extractor and side load it, which I've done with my paid version.

I've tried others, and the original Swype still does it for me. Especially with the swipe up for capitalization gesture.

Swype was bought by Dragon. Maybe it was Swiftkey that was bought by Microsoft?

    Yup - https://www.networkworld.com/article...keyboards.html

I knew Dragon had bought it, but thought Microsoft bought it from them. Oh well, not like it matters much at this point.
