how i can format samsung a5 when its display not working

dear sir i am using samsung galaxy A5 mobile ,now its screen not working now i wish to change its display . but i am afraid of my personal and family photos .so how i can format the system and give to technicians for change display .

If you had everything backed up to google/Samsung you should be fine

That's kind of difficult because you can't see the recovery menu and whether or not you have successfully reset the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! You didn't have a screen lock set for the phone? That's always advisable. If you have a screen lock set, then the technicians won't be able to get to your photos.
