How do i get my LG Stylo 4 sound to work?

I have no microphone plugged into my LG Stylo 4 but my phone shows the icon on the display of the headphones (meaning that they are plugged in) what do i do to get my sound to work externally on my phone?

Sometimes a simple restart fixes issues like that

Also, repeated plugging and unplugging of earphones may fix it.

Welcome to Android Central! If the problem persists, use a can of compressed air to blow out the headphone jack, and a toothpick to root around for any debris.
