Video not uploading to FB Messenger S10+

[Android Central Question]

Either the video gets stuck uploading then eventually displays an error message OR

Uploads immediately but only 3 seconds.of the video....

Please help

Solutions tried so far have been:

1) uninstall messenger reinstall
2) wipe cache partition on my s10+
3) clear cache/ data from messenger (before 1 above)

Also, videos upload absolutely fine to Facebook.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you trying to send the video as an MMS message or as a Facebook Messenger chat message? MMS has an attachment filesize limit of about 1 MB, so if you're using FB Messenger as your SMS/MMS app as well, and you're sending the message as MMS (rather than a chat message with another FB Messenger user), then I would guess the MMS limits would apply.

Hi uploading a video into a chat in messenger. Used to do this regularly without a problem. Now it doesn't work. Have heard of other android users having the same issue but cant find a solution.

P.s. I am uploading over wifi with a 35mpbs down and 9mpbs up connection.

You tried long pressing the messenger app clear cache,data and force stop?

Try go into phone settings , type in search bar reset and select reset settings .

Thanks, just tried resetting all settings but still no luck.. it uploads the video almost immediately but then only 1 or 2 seconds plays of video and then just plays put but the picture doesn't change (like it hasn't finished uploading) Bizarre!

You tried this both on wifi and Data?
I would try messenger lite see if same .
