So I dropped my Samsung S7 and the screen turned completely purple in a few days. Replaced the phone as it was cheaper than replacing the screen, and have most of my stuff on sim card, but need to transfer data from the old phone, can't seem to find a way to do it without the screen working? All the recovery apps I have seen are used through the phone itself which is no good when its a mass of dark purple. Anyone had the same problem or know how to fix it??

Did you back up the device using Google? That will save certain data which you could restore to your new phone. If it's not in the backup you will have to access the device which means a screen replacement.
