So, I factory reset this phone that my dad found while emptying cars at the port.
I reset it via the recovery mode menu.
After I had done that, it said something along the lines of "An unauthorized attempt was made to factory reset this device to default settings. Connect to the internet to verify your identity" Ok. That is fine. I just thought it was gonna make me sign in to my Google Account. After I connect to the net, it sits at checking my connection, then, the device restarts. And it keeps happening over and over. I tried resetting it again, no luck. I tried plugging in the phone, no luck. Please help.

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but the phone is protected by Factory Reset Protection. Rather than try to make the phone your own, you should submit it to a lost and found center at the port, or to the local police station. There's no way around this security measure, and we don't allow discussions about it. Thread closed.
