Android Central Question

I have an Acer Chromebook 14 CB3-431 which seems to fully work apart from an issue with Wifi networking.

When attempting to slide the Wifi toggle to on, it switches back off automatically. I've taken the back cover off and attempted to remove and replace the Wifi module, as many posts and videos suggest to do. This didn't work.

I then purchased a replacement module (Intel 7265NGW). After inserting this, the bluetooth functionality works, but the same Wifi issue still occurs.

Thinking this could be a software issue, I put the OS into developer mode and performed a Powerwash, to no avail.

The Chromebook networking functions fine when using a USB-Ethernet adapter.

Can anyone make any suggestions? I'm quite new to the world of Chromebooks so feel free to ask any questions. Many thanks.
