I'm having all sorts of trouble connecting my Essential phone to my Windows PC (Windows 10). When connecting I get this message:
"We're having trouble connecting
Make sure your device is unlocked, and that you accept the notification to connect."
Followed by:
"USB device not recognized"
It did occur to me to update the USB drivers, but I'm not sure where to get those from or how to upgrade. When I just go to computer management, it keeps saying my USB driver is up to date.
Eventually, I'd like to be able to download programs I've written in Android Studio (I have them working on the emulator) but I'm having trouble with that too. Not too surprising as I can't even transfer photos!
