My current phone (moto g7 play) comes with a 10w charger. My previous phone had an 18w charger. Without thinking I ugged my g7 play in to charge with the 18w charger. After 30-40 minutes I grabbed the phone and it was pretty warm to hot. I thought a phone would only take as much power as it could handle. I didn't think higher watt charges was a an issue anymore. Am I wrong?

Nope, not wrong. But if both the phone and the charger support Fast Charging the phone might get warmer. Only if you're using cheap knock off chargers that might have skimped on the protection circuitry would I be worried.

Nope. It was another moto charger. Just a higher rated one. Tha is for the quick response and lack of shade 😂
