how do i fix this wifi problem on my 2017 Samsung note edge?

[Android Central Question]

-Wifi
-connect( unsecured wifi)
-transfers me to chrome for verification ( aka sign in)
-the chrome page won't load the sign in page.

I have no clue what the problem is but i have connected to other secured wifi networks. My chrome browser is not completely unto date either.

Go anywhere (aol.com is easy to type) in Chrome, and the sign in page should come up. If it doesn't, that's a problem with the WiFi you're connecting to, it has nothing to do with the phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? The Note Edge was released in 2014. Are you talking about the Note8?
