Roaming turning off and Sim issue

[Android Central Question]

My s10 device claims Sim has been changed and forces a restart every once in a while. Upon investigation online what seems to be happening is I lose reception and roaming turns off automatically, causing the restart.

1. Why does roaming turn off? Is there a way to prevent it?
2. Why does it cause a Sim changed message?
3. Why does it force restart? Is there a way to prevent it?

Welcome to Android Central! Who's your carrier? Have you asked them about this issue?

Are you spending most of the time roaming? If so, why? Some carriers might not look too kindly on a device that is constantly roaming.

Or the SIM port might be intermittent. No SIM turns roaming off.
