After upgrading to Android 10, I am not able to find the delete option in Files. So I am not able to delete the downloaded documents from files. Is there any way to delete the documents ?

Thanks mustang7757, I registered in the forum. I tried long press but the delete option is not appearing in Android 10. In earlier version it was appearing.

When you first open files it just shows recent things so from that page you cant delete, if you look on the upper left side and tap the 3 bars it will take you to photos ,recent downloads choose download and delete which you want by long pressing.

Welcome to Android Central! On my Pixel 3 XL using the native Files app (not Files by Google), there's an arrow dropdown icon to the right of the filename. Tap that, and you'll see various options including Delete.

Are you looking to delete files or uninstall apps? To delete files, you need a file manager that digs a little deeper than Fies. Total Commander is one of the best, but even something like Cx File Explorer or MyFiles will work (long-press, tap Delete).

(@B. Diddy - not on the Pixel 2.)

Hmm, interesting that the Pixel 2 has a different native Files app than the 3. I checked my wife's 2 XL -- to delete a file, tap the little icon to the left of the file so that it turns into a checkmark, and then tap the garbage can icon at the top of the screen.

Tap that toggle icon at the upper right to switch between thumbnail and list view. I was using list view. I haven't tried using the thumbnail view, but I assume it requires long-pressing the thumbnail to get the options (as you mentioned).
