I have restarted the phone, cleared the cache. All of the help that I have looked up says to go to settings. The issue I have is there are no Icons at all so I am unsure as how to get to settings since I have a blank screen except for the message.

    Thanks,

I has not been. The battery died last night and I put it on the charger, when I got up this morning all I have on the screen is this message. Thanks.

Ok, got into "safe Mode", mine actually says emergency mode. I was able to open the browser and make a call. But when getting out of this mode the screen goes back to no Icon's and the message at the bottom, "One UI Home keeps stopping". Thanks.

Safe Mode and Emergency Mode are different I think. Does this persist after wiping the cache partition? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30305

It does. If those modes are different, I can't get to safe mode as it does not give me that option. Thanks.

I can, it will be this afternoon after work. But to describe it, after pushing the power button on the top rh side of the phone the screen showed three buttons, power off at the top, middle button (can't remember this one), the bottom one emergency mode.

After selecting emergency mode the a statement came up about the power saving benefits. Then comes up to a black background with six icons and a + sign. The icons were for calling, internet, messaging, and after clicking the + sign, the email icon.

    Thanks again.

Ok, so I was taking pictures of the emergency mode, and the background (home screen). So when I exited the emergency mode the screen was back to normal and the phone is functioning normally. Thank you for all of your assistance.
