[Android Central Question]

New Qere12 tablet with 8gb ram 256gb memory, And9.
Have been downloading media and reached near 16gb used
Tried 1 more file and download failed as file manager couldn't see more than 16gb memory. Tried cx, ex, asus managers all had same limit. Thought I'd fixed problem by using Astro file manager. Download now fails as apparantly the download manager only sees 16gb.
Have older tabs - And8 128gb and Andy 64gb neither has had any prob download manager only seeing 16gb.

To see how much storage (not memory - that's RAM) you actually have to use, see [Guide] Checking the ACTUAL storage space on an Android device. You don't get 256GB for your use, storage is partitioned for a number of things, and you get one partition to use. Android and a lot of other things get the other partitions. (You should have more than 16GB, though. There isn't even a reasonable maximum file size limit - it's 16TB [16,000GB]. By the time we have files that large, we'll most likely have a different file system with a larger filesize limit.)

Maybe try clearing cache and force stop download manager
