Fire Stick tv not recognizing my mirco SD card

[Android Central Question]

bought an OTG adapter to add an SD card for additional memory onto my firestick 2nd gen and pendant. I have a MicroSD card using the FAT32 format but my fire TV both the stick and the pendant do not recognize the USB card.

Upon inserting the USB card the fire stick recognizes the device is there but then after the prompt of saying I found a USB getting ready to use it we get an error message saying that you have to use a MicroSD card and it has to be FAT32 but it is a MicroSD card and it was formatted for FAT32.

Any thoughts?

Where did you get the SD card from?
