Note 9 issues with Samsung music app?

[Android Central Question]

I'm on my 2nd Note 9 due to corruption issues with the Samsung Music app. I just had to factory reset my 4 month old phone and delete the Samsung music app, it started causing my phone to shut down every time it went idle. Why is this happening?

Recommended other music apps to play existing music I have stored on my SD card in my phone.

All of the above listed options will play locally stored music.

Welcome to Android Central! How do you know it's the Samsung Music app that's causing trouble? Are you getting error messages that specify it being the problem? Are you getting errors related to Mediaserver? Do you have music saved only on Internal Storage, or also an SD card?
