If I forward or otherwise send a message to my wife, she does not receive it. Also, if I read an incoming email she doesn't receive it. We share the same email address and this did not occur previously.

What kind of messages are we talking about (email, SMS, instant messaging, etc)?
What apps are you and she using to do the messaging?

Welcome to Android Central! If you share the same email address, then both of you should receive the same emails that are sent to that address. If you send an email to your wife, that means you're sending it to yourself, right? Are you seeing emails in your inbox that are from "Me"?

If your email is set to POP3 then the first to view it will download from the server. The second probably will not get it. If your set up as IMAP then both will get the same emails in the same folders you have setup. I use IMAP on all my devices.
