Why is my password wrong

My nokia 3 is saying wrong password after I have updated it to android pie 9

Welcome to Android Central! And make sure the keyboard isn't on CAPS LOCK. If you didn't just forget your password, then this might be a situation where a glitchy system update caused the phone not to recognize the correct password -- it's happened a few times with some prominent phones, like the Galaxy S10. Which is why you should always disable the lock screen before updating.

That's an interesting point -- I wonder if that would've helped with the known update bugs that have occurred with those other phones, or if the update simply would've led to the phone still asking for a nonexistent PIN/password.

I thought those bugs were on phones with no lock screen set up, making that irrelevant.
