    Hi all,

My Google Pixel 2 had a nasty fall and now won't turn on. For a while after I could locate/connect to it using Google Find My Phone but now it can no longer connect to it.

I need to send this device to my insurer but would like to factory reset/erase it first. I'm fairly sure it's going be be replaced as it's beyond repair but I would like to erase my data on it just to be safe. What is the best way to do this if Find my Phone can't connect to it?

Welcome to Android Central! Assuming you had a screen lock set, your data should be safe, since the phone storage is encrypted by default.
