every time I share my contact with an iPhone user, they are receiving my text as "Contact0000" when they open the contact card that I shared, the correct information is within, however, when they click save on their device it is not being saved.

mustang, "every time I share my contact with an iPhone user, they are receiving" says they are. It's the iPhone that's having the problem with a contact sent from an Android phone.

I was just pointing out the OP's statement. I haven't owned an Apple product since about the mid-90s, when Apple started using the PowerPC and made all my software (and my income) useless.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? Is the file arriving as a Vcard on the friend's iPhone? Which messaging app are you using?

I Asked the Question. I 'm using a Pixel phone. Im using the normal messages app that comes installed on the phone. Before I send the contact card, it tell me that its being sent as a .VCF file. To clarify. Im sending my contact card from a Pixel phone to an iPhone and the iPhone is not reading the contact name within the text message and is being displayed as Contact000000 instead of my actual name.

I'm not the OP but I'm having the same issue. How do we get it to show the name before clicking on it? When my friend sends his contact card from his iPhone I see his name just fine.

I don't see a way to change that , once they open it shows all details , otherwise send a screenshot to that person of the contact
