Trouble getting videos off phone to computer to play

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung Galaxy 10. I use a USB cable to transfer files ( pictures and videos) to computer for storage. Photos transfer fine. Snapchat videos transfer but all other video files transfer with just the time of the clip, audio but a black screen for the video. Some others transfer and are so slow mo that it is only showing "pictures" within the video at the point in time. I have tried opening with multiple video viewing applications including VLC, media player, 5k player, etc. They are MP4 format. Please help!!

Welcome to Android Central! Are these videos that the Camera app took, or are they video files you downloaded from the web?

.mp4 is the package type (like .zip), the video format stored in an .mp4 package can be different formats. That's just one thing to bear in mind, but we still need the answer to B. Diddy's question.
