What is the blue dot

[Android Central Question]

In my text messages beside my husband's number is his initial b and beside that there's a blue dot. Today I got a text from a number not in my contacts and besides there number is the same blue dot...the dot is only beside those two.

Welcome to the forums. Which phone do you have? If a Note 9 or 10 it's possible that blue dot means that you can share Live Messages with those contacts.
