    Welcome to the forums. I'm not sure what you are referring to. Why do you need to swipe up to wipe the cache? Which cache are you trying to erase?

    I don't think you can clear cache in recovery on Moto phones , but app cache yes .'ll leave a Link to register so you can communicate here as a guest account you can only post questions but can't reply.https://forums.androidcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=409154

    Recent Moto phones don't have a cache partition anymore, since they include the A/B dual partition feature. This means that the cache wipe option doesn't exist in the Recovery menu.

    Chances are, clearing any cache isn't going to work anyway. For example, this could be hardware related if the screen isn't reacting properly. That's why we need you to register and provide us more info on the problem.
