Samsung A40 - Screen Dead

[Android Central Question]

Hello everyone. My wife dropped her Samsung A40 down the toilet at the weekend the phone appears to be working but the screen has died. Is there any way of extracting data from the phone? She can’t remember her Samsung account password but I don’t think she had data back up selected anyway. I’ve tried plugging it into my pc with the usb cable and the phone shows but there are no folders are showing for me to navigate to photos. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can extract photos in a different way? Would the pc version of Samsung smart switch work? Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you, Rob

You can go to your computer type find my phone and log into your Google account that was on the device and back it up , it would of been better if you remember your Samsung account you can remotely back up from find my Samsung device .
