Should I get a Note 8 for my wife?

My wife and children have been used to the Moto G6 for over a year, I'm wanting to upgrade my wife's phone to a larger phone with a better screen. I'm looking at spending around 400.00. Maybe 500.00 at the very most. We go through Cricket which doesn't mean a whole lot except that my wife at present time isn't on the plan. I know that sometimes they have good deals when bringing in another phone number. I also am looking for upgrade from my s8 which I love! I know that the s8 or note 8 is old but need your help! Thank you!

You could find a Note 9 in that price range on Swappa. The Note 9 has better specs and will get software support for a longer time period than the Note 8. I went from an S8 to a Note 9 and have no regrets.
