my samsung a5's ringtone isn't working ? please help me!

[Android Central Question]

the ringtone wasn't working so I reset my phone and still, it doesn't ring any ringtone
any help will be highly appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! Is it just the ringtone that isn't sounding? Do notification tones and media sounds play normally?

Are you using a preinstalled ringtone or a ringtone that you added yourself? Is the ringtone saved to the proper folder?

If it's your own ringtone, then you'll have to save it in the folder called "ringtones".
