Why is my new phone telling me that the phone is not allowed for voice?

[Android Central Question]

I bought the Samsung A30 yesterday and when I put in my sim card I am being told that my phone is not allowed for voice and I have tried switching off the phone and taking out the sim card and then putting it back in again.

I have tried resetting it
Also when I check I am being told that my sim card is not registered on the network.

Please Help??!!

Go to your carrier. Seems like you have a tablet /data sim or the provider needs to configure your sim for the phone still. Good luck
