Welcome to Android Central! I this an onscreen keyboard or a physical keyboard?
The device is a Tabs4 and the Keyboard is a physical one. In addition, I only havre one language registered on it.
Hi, welcome!
Try force closing the keyboard
@B. Diddy Thank you. It's a physical. The onscreen is working fine.
Could you tell me the instructions on how to perform that action. My apologies, I just looked in my settings and couldnt find an according keyboard app even after using the search bar. @mustang7757
Definitely!
Go settings>Apps>3 dots upper right corner tap>go to system apps tap > scroll down to Samsung keyboard tap >storage tap >clear data, cache and back out force stop it in that order Attachment 316387
Although it probably won't help with a physical keyboard, you could go to Settings>Apps, select Samsung Keybaord, then force close it there.
Does the problem happen in Safe Mode as well? https://www.t-mobile.com/support/dev...-galaxy-tab-s4. Is it a Bluetooth keyboard, or one that connects via USB or POGO pin? Are you able to test the keyboard on a different device?
Thank you for your assistance so far. I followed the directions in the order given, but im still facing the same problems. Any further suggestions? @mustang7757
@B. Diddy Its a Galaxy Tab S4 Book Cover Keyboard. Also, it still seems to fail even in safe mode. And as for devices, being it's a pogo pin keyboard, I believe I don't have anything else that's compatible to test it with.
Try Google Gboard , download in play store
It may just be that the keyboard is faulty. Is it still under warranty?
You can also try using a can of compressed air to blow out the little gaps around the keys, in case some junk has gotten stuck in there.
