Will a wireless charger still work if the charging part is fried?

[Android Central Question]

Hi, I was just wondering if a wireless charger will still work if the charging port is fried? The battery is fine and the samsung tablet "E" is fine but the charging cord that came with the device will not work when plugged in (of course). Is there a wireless charger that will work and if it will work even?

If you have a fried charging port could be dangerous , would recommend getting that fix .

Welcome to Android Central! I think the circuitry for the wireless charging coil is separate from the USB port, so it's probably fine. You could try testing it out and making sure the phone doesn't get unusually warm while charging.

Oh whoops, I didn't even realize the OP was asking about the Tab E -- it sounded like they already knew their device had wireless charging.
