Exactly. I was saying I can't tap anything on screen including settings in either mode.

If the screen doesn't respond to any touch, then the touchscreen may have failed. You'd probably have to bring it to a repair shop to get that replaced, and for further testing if needed.

I can't even get in recovery mode to try that.
Screen responded to touch for the ok button on the error but nothing else.

For this to be happening in Safe Mode, there must either be a hardware or firmware issue. I'm not sure if it'll be possible to reflash the firmware in the condition your phone is in, so unfortunately, your best option is probably to bring it to a repair shop.

Safe mode gave me the same issue and the steps to get the factory reset option didn't work.
You tried what T-Mobile calls "Master reset with hardware keys" in @B. Diddy's second link?
    B. Diddy likes this.

Yes, and the result was just the error popping up again before sending me to the home screen.

I might just replace the phone at this point. It's not worth taking it to be repaired.

You might be right about not worth to be repaired, keep us posted what you decide.
