Hi all any idea why when I use iOS google photos app when I play back my video it’s all grainy as such I can see the floor pixelates but when viewing on my note 9 it’s crystal clear.

    Thanks in advance x

You're talking about watching the same video on both devices, right? Is the video actually saved to the Note9's internal storage or SD card? Sometimes it takes a little while for videos to "rez up" when you're streaming them from the cloud. Wait a few hours and try again.

Is your Google Photos set to back up in Original Quality or High Quality? If you look at the video on your computer browser (at photos.google.com), is it also grainy?
@mustang7757, OP is talking about looking at the video in the cloud using the Google Photos app on the iPhone.

If you go on the iOS Google Photos app and download the media to the iOS device, then open the Photos app on that iOS device, then view the video there - is it still grainy?

Are photos viewed on iOS Google Photos normal resolution?

While we're trying to figure this out, it'd also be a good idea to send feedback to Google from within the app's settings about this issue.
