My freinds Google pixel 2 has a camera that will only work when her phone needs an update. Does anyone know why? If so how do you fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! There's been some problem with the Camera app on the Pixel 2 for a little while: https://9to5google.com/2020/03/16/google-camera-reviews/. Hopefully, Google figures it out and pushes a fix soon.
