Why does anyone consider something else Not OnePlus...

OnePlus is where it's at.
That is all I can state

OnePlus is the way of the future...

I was shooting in the dark. Attempting to fit in + very new to Forums activity.
I suppose the question is —

Why would anyone want a device that's not a OnePlus?

I'm sold out cold.

One Plus definitely make very good phones , but everyone has different take what they like in a phone with so many Android options out there .

You are correct absolutely. I'll mind my Ps & Qs more by thinking First rather than allowing emotions First. Grounding is good advice and your tact is professional all the way.

Thank You, Sir

Nothing wrong for you to like your device , as it's a good one , which One Plus do you have ?

6T International, unlocked bootloader from factory and dual Sim...A/B boot slots. Like it a lot. Not rooted at the moment. Chose stability for now over customizations/hit miss, soft N hard bricking etc...
It sure is fun though, learning by tearing her up & down.

It's been a delight to have this device.
Thank you for asking.

Nice !
I still have my 1+6 and have the 1+7P

OnePlus is a fantastic manufacturer. I love their phones. I was hooked since the OnePlus 3T and then the 5.

The only reason why I have yet to buy one of their products - well, two reasons, actually - is because of the camera specs and the lack of an IP 68 rating. But the OnePlus 8 Pro has an IP 68 rating so I am very excited! It's just the size and camera specs that I'll have to look at to see if the phone is one that I'd be able to use.

But you are right, OP! OnePlus is definitely a solid performer. There's a reason why it was coined "the flagship killer."

Kind of a no-brainer. Good price, Constant updates, very little bloatware, dual SIM is great, performance is top notch. This (One Plus 6T) is the first phone I've had where I wasn't looking around at new phones after a year. It's still running great, great battery life. I don't think I'll be replacing it until OnePlus 9T at the earliest.

The camera goes from very good to great if you install the Google Camera app (available from apkMirror).

Went from a Nexus 5 to the 5T, never looked back. Basically it's what Google's Nexus line would/should have been if it still existed - flagship specs with a few compromises that are easily worth paying 30 percent less than any other phone out there.
Still rocking it now, and it's still so fast I don't think I'll need another till maybe the OP9? I know the prices are no longer in the 500CAD range but I don't think I could bring myself to buy a $1400 Galaxy..

Started out on the OnePlus One, at the time took a risk on it, but I really wanted to see the partnership with CyanogenMod succeed. After that, had to step away due to the price, as the OPO was already at the very top.
I'm back after many years with a 6T, thanks to the partnership with T-Mobile. My existing Pixel 3 had great features, but couldn't overcome the shortcomings. I do not consider the OP phones to be a "skin" per se, more of an optimization of stock. 6T is actually bigger than what I'm comfortable with, as I prefer small phones. I'm really looking forward to the 8 Lite / Z.

Since the beginning of Android I have had phones from Samsung, LG, and HTC. I had my eye on OnePlus since they began, they really piqued my interest at the OP5. However, at that time I was in the middle of a Galaxy phone contract. When the 6T hit my contract ended, but thanks to AC I heard the whispers of the upcoming 7 and held out for it and grabbed the 7 Pro the day of release. OP's build quality now is as good as any I've seen, the performance and battery life are top tier. I'll admit their cameras always seem to fall just short of the top tier, but are no slouch. Oxygen OS is brilliant, every phone I've had previously, I've rooted and ROM'd to eek acceptable performance and battery life out of them. I've not felt the need to root the 7 Pro. It's the best phone I've ever used.

For me the major factors of loving oneplus are

1. The performance- my sister still runs the 3 and I can argue it's still better than some new phones out there

2. Software support- genuinely apart from Google oneplus is the only manufacturer of the top of my head offering 3 year updates the 3 is at 9.0 and that is amazing

3. The family- the top reason for me is the experience if I had to I could have bought an iPhone a samsung etc but the experience the support I felt buying the 6 and in future the 8 made me feel like I was part of something bigger a family the oneplus family

Those are great reasons for buying - especially the three-year support system for OnePlus devices. Can't believe your sister's OnePlus 3 is still running well! OnePlus is truly a great manufacturer.
