[Android Central Question]

Is my phone bad?
Or is this normal?
When I have stabilization on for video recording it is nothing short of a hot mess. Glitchy and jumpy and just poor quality.
My iPhone se blows this thing out of the water with video
Is there something I’m doing wrong, is this just the way a pixel is?

Pixels are not known for video quality , and iPhone is much better in that department.

Just tested on my 3 XL, and it's pretty smooth. There were reports of unusually shaky video back in August on the smaller Pixel 3, and I'm not sure if there was ever a fix: https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/0...a-performance/. If this isn't universal on all Pixel 3's, then it might have been a bad batch. Since your phone is likely still under warranty, contact Google about it.
