XIAOMI MI 9T Phone call HELP!!!

I absolutely love this phone except for one thing, the calls.

When calling and answering a phone call, 9 times out of 10 it ONLY works when putting it on speaker.

If it's not on speaker, the person can't hear me at all on the other end. I hear them but we can't speak to each other until I hit that speaker button.

I seriously need a fix for this. Any tips or ideas? Thank you so much in advanced.

The primary mic at the bottom of the phone might be faulty. Also, make sure you're not blocking it intermittently with your hand. Does this happen in Safe Mode as well? https://www.getdroidtips.com/boot-xiaomi-mi-9t-into-mode/

Just tried safe mode and same result.

If the primary mic isn't being blocked, then it's probably a hardware issue. There might be a loose connection somewhere. You'd have to bring it to a repair shop, unfortunately. Is it still under warranty?
