    Samsung s 20 5g base model

There aren't navigation icons. In the s9 there were 3 at the bottom.

I can not find background apps. I can't see any open files or windows. Swiping up clears the screen but doesn't really close the app.

I've been optimizing the device every 2 seconds to clear the apps. What's the shortcut?

How do you open multiple tabs on chrome?

How do you find and close open windows/pics/files?

Download Samsung Good Lock then Navstar that is if it's supported. If not updated for Q it won't load.
That's what I use on my Note 10+

The App One Handed + will also let you add an slide out control button set. It's a great apk... use it constantly.
Again not sure if it runs on Q... call me Qless

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like you have gesture navigation turned on: https://www.androidcentral.com/how-a...res-galaxy-s20

Keep in mind that Android is not like Windows -- there's no benefit in clearing out RAM constantly. Android likes to have RAM at least partially full, and will automatically open certain apps into RAM in the background. If you make a habit of killing apps (typically using poorly designed "RAM booster" apps), that could affect performance, as well as potentially worsen battery life, rather than improve it. Just let the system handle RAM on its own.

Here's an article that explains what B. Diddy is talking about in terms of how Android manages RAM. https://www.androidcentral.com/ram-w...-shouldnt-care
