I still haven't heard anything about my 64GB amethyst preorder from the 22nd. The keyboard was not available when I originally ordered, but I eventually found it later. It now says Jan 9 shipping estimate. The tablet has no date listed yet...

I'm wondering which version you ordered, and was it previously listed as Backordered or was there an estimated delivery date? I also pre-ordered from tiger direct but it's still listed as backordered... :-/

Ordered 32gig champagne on the first day of preorder/back order. November 23rd I believe. The order shows up as back order when I ordered back then. Should be here Monday

Hi all,

I have just registered in this forum because I am also truly interested in this fantastic tablet. The thing is that I am living in Europe so I will have to be even more patient than you guys.

And I was wondering one thing: do you know if this wifi issue, which seems to be causing the delay on the tablet, is a hardware failure or it is just a software thing that will be fixed with a firmware update?

The Wi-fi issue was a hoax, Asus denied any knowledge about the rumor.

Hoax?? I do not think so mate... Some reviews I read clearly stated that wifi range was not good at all... and some users that have already received their units are reporting the same thing... have a look to this:

Just got mine in the mail today and also received an email from Amazon that the dock will be delivered on Jan 6th.

Supposedly those were just the first shipment to taiwan which weren't supposed to affect the US models. Some people have just gotten faulty units specifically the guy with nothing good to say about in the thread "playing prime last 30 mins" There were too many excellent reviews for me to believe they are all bad like that.
